Geosemble is a leading provider of location- enabled unstructured content. Our markets include both Federal government customers and commercial market users.
In the business intelligence arena, a major challenge for commercial companies is finding opportunities and threats in the torrent of content now being generated across the web and from internal company sources. The next challenge is ensuring that opportunities are capitalized on and threats are neutralized. This is where location plays a key role.
Why Location Intelligence?
- Geography is a basic organizing principal of human society and extends to governments and commercial companies.
- Understanding threats and opportunities in a geographic context brings users one step closer to assigning assets to take action on that information
- Whoever moves first on good intelligence gains a competitive advantage
Geosemble and Business Intelligence: A regional sales manager faces the daunting task of indentifying business opportunities and threats in a torrent of online content, from websites, blogs, industry publications, internal documents etc.. A further inefficiency is that many opportunities when finally identified, may not be in his area of responsibility. As a result, a great deal of time is spent researching opportunities with a corresponding drop in actual selling activity.
Geosemble addresses this problem in same we do for our Federal Government customers. The appropriate data sources are plugged into the system and only the information relevant to your area of interest is displayed.
Geosemble can link into a range of different data sources, including news, blogs, tweets and other online and company internal data sources. For many market segments, there are industry specific websites, sometimes thousands of them, that contain industry specific articles, vernacular, events, announcements, personnel changes, new product launches, etc.. Geosemble can identify both the business entity and the location component of that news/content. This allows the system to identify who is doing what, and where. Geosemble can ingest this data at a national or international level and filter on content of interest and deliver it to a geographic sales territory or territory manager. The territory manager can then manage new opportunities for his territory and pass them to his sales managers who then focus on selling. In this way the information is delivered quickly to the team that can take action and gain a competitive advantage.
